At the appointed time, you will gather at the Place des Terreaux, directly in front of the Fontaine Bartholdi, a stunning fountain crafted by the same artist behind the Statue of Liberty in New York. From this lively square, where you will also notice the facade of the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon and the City Hall of Lyon, our complimentary walking tour of Lyon will commence.

Our first stop will be the Montée de la Grand-Côte, a renowned thoroughfare within the La Croix-Rousse district, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will wander through the famous traboules, historic hidden passages that connected different parts of the city. Next, we’ll visit the nearby Jardin des Plantes, the oldest botanical garden in Lyon.

We'll stroll past the Place Fernand Rey, an intimate square showcasing the vibrant multicultural tapestry of the area, before searching for the Fresque des Lyonnais. This impressive mural features twenty-four historical personalities from Lyon alongside five more current figures. A short walk will lead us to the Passarelle Saint-Vincent, a pedestrian bridge spanning the Saône River.

As we delve into the remarkable Medieval architecture of Vieux Lyon, the city's oldest area, we will admire the exterior of the renowned Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist of Lyon, commonly referred to as the Lyon Cathedral, situated in the Place des Jacobins.
