Private Tour to Lake Toba & Samosir

Your adventure begins at 6 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Medan. From there, we will set off towards the quaint village of Parapat, nestled along the shore of Lake Toba. The early start will reward you with magnificent views as we travel!

Following a scenic four-hour drive, we will reach our first stop. Here, we will board a ferry destined for Samosir Island, offering stunning vistas of the surrounding volcanic terrain—a truly remarkable experience!

Upon arrival, we will head directly to the village of Tomok, home to the renowned tomb of King Sidabutar. This site is recognized as one of the oldest royal burial sites of the Batak people. As we appreciate the unique local architecture, discussions will arise about the roots and heritage of these indigenous cultures.

Our exploration will continue in the village of Ambarita, where we’ll gain further insights into Batak culture. You will have the opportunity to observe their communal halls, rice storage buildings, and the distinctive houses featuring stone courtyards.

After completing the guided exploration of Samosir Island's villages, an hour will be allotted for you to relax and enjoy refreshments at a nearby restaurant. Our return to Parapat will take place following this break.

The private tour will conclude as we arrive back at your accommodation in Medan by 6 pm.
