Day Trip to Lugano + Bellinzona

Embark on a journey that takes us beyond Italy's borders into Switzerland, exploring the charming towns of Lugano and Bellinzona, located within the beautiful canton of Ticino.

Overview of the Day Trip

At the prearranged time, we will meet at the specified location before starting our day filled with stunning sights!

As we depart from northern Italy and cross into Switzerland, the canton of Ticino welcomes us. Our first destination in this lovely region is the Alprose factory, where you will see the process behind their delectable chocolates.

Following our visit to the chocolate factory, we will head to Lugano. Here, you will enjoy 2 hours of leisure time to wander along the scenic shores of Lugano Lake, indulge in its renowned culinary offerings, and explore the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The historic center also invites you to shop and discover its quaint charms.

In the afternoon, we will gather again in central Lugano to travel onward to Bellinzona. Upon arrival in this idyllic town, we will admire the impressive Castles of Castelgrande and Montebello, appreciating their architectural beauty.

You will then have another hour of free time in Bellinzona, allowing you to explore its medieval old town, shop for local treasures, or relax with a drink.

Our day will conclude as we make our way back to the starting point, aiming to return between 11 and 11.5 hours from our departure.
