Embark on a journey to the remnants of a city forever altered by one of history's most catastrophic volcanic eruptions on our Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip. Departing from Maiori, we will transport you nearly 2,000 years into the past.

Pompeii & Vesuvius Day Trip

At the appointed time, we will meet you at your selected pickup point and then set off toward the historic city of Pompeii. Prepare to delve into the significance of one of Italy's paramount archaeological sites!

Following a scenic 50-minute drive, we will arrive at our destination for a guided exploration of the Pompeii ruins. We'll step back to August 24, 79 AD, when the eruption of Vesuvius engulfed one of the richest cities of the Roman Empire.

During our visit, we'll examine the artifacts uncovered in the excavations, including the forum, the public baths, and the amphitheater. As we navigate this UNESCO World Heritage Site, insights into the daily lives of its inhabitants will be shared. Afterwards, you will have 1 hour of leisure for lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Reenergized for the next phase, we'll proceed to Mount Vesuvius. A bus will take us up to the first 3,280 feet (1,000 meters), after which we will hike the remaining path to the summit of this iconic volcano. Upon reaching the peak, guests can relish stunning vistas of the Bay of Naples.

Finally, we will descend the volcano and reboard the bus. After a comprehensive 10-hour adventure, we will return to Maiori.

Pickup Points

This tour includes pickups from the following locations:

• Positano: Viale Pasitea, 122 at 7:20 am. This option incurs an additional fee of 15 EUR per person to be settled at the pickup location.
• Praiano: Bar del Sole at 7:30 am. This option has a supplementary charge of 10 EUR per person payable at the pickup point.
• Amalfi: Piazza Flavio Gioia, bus stop to Ravello at 7:55 am.
• Maiori: Hotel Panorama at 8:25 am.
