Abseiling at The Cerro del Topo Chico
Description
If you find yourself in Monterrey and are seeking an opportunity for an exciting adventure amidst nature, the abseiling experience at Cerro del Topo Chico offers the perfect escape. This activity merges breathtaking vistas with a thrilling dose of adventure, making it a wonderful way to connect with nature alongside family or friends.
Activity Overview
At the specified time, we will collect you from your hotel in Monterrey to kick off this thrilling adventure. In approximately 30 minutes, we will leave the city's noise behind as we head toward Cerro del Topo Chico, a geological marvel often mistaken for an ancient dormant volcano.
We will embark on a gentle hike along a well-defined trail that skirts the dam, moving between fields and flat landscapes. Our descent will gradually continue along the famous greenway, characterized by rocks and mountain paths that guide us through the stunning scenery of Topo Chico.
In an area designed for safety and enjoyment, we will engage in the abseiling activity. Here, you will learn the skill of descending with a rope in a secure manner, mastering essential techniques to enhance your experience. Participants will also have the chance to practice belaying a partner during the descent—ideal for those new to this thrilling sport!
Once the abseiling segment concludes, we will proceed with our walk until we reach the Pared de los Perros, a striking rock formation indicating the finale of the route known as the Devil's Throat. Within this area, we will explore an old mine equipped with torches, providing an opportunity for a memorable photo session inside.
Our adventure will wrap up as we begin our return trip to Monterrey, where we'll drop you off at your hotel after a thoroughly engaging 3-hour experience.
