Nairobi Free Walking Tour
Description
Discover the War Memorial, Uhuru Park, and key government establishments on our complimentary tour of Nairobi, designed to introduce you to the essential attractions of Kenya's capital.
Tour Overview
Our adventure begins at Waberaa St, setting the stage for an insightful complimentary tour of Nairobi that unveils the heart of Kenya!
Initially, we'll take a moment to appreciate the stunning Supreme Court of Kenya, located conveniently nearby. Following this, our journey continues to the War Memorial, a significant tribute to those who served alongside British forces during World War I.
As we proceed, a brief stop at the historic Macmillan Bookshop, one of the city’s oldest establishments, offers a glimpse into Nairobi’s literary heritage. We'll explore the capital's rich history until we arrive at the magnificent Jamia Mosque, recognized as the largest mosque in the nation.
Next on our route, we'll venture to Nairobi Market, a vibrant spot to immerse yourself in local traditions while browsing various crafts. After selecting a few keepsakes, we’ll pass by the University of Kenya, the National Theater, and the Conservatory of Music.
In the closing moments of our tour, we’ll glide past the prominent Basilica of the Holy Family and Uhuru Park, the country’s largest memorial site where the national flag was first raised. Finally, we’ll take a look at important government structures including the National Parliament, the Office of the President, and the Senate.
After three enriching hours, we’ll reconvene at our starting point, concluding our exploration.
