Guided Walking Tour of Nantes
Our adventure begins at Rue des Etats at the scheduled time, from where we will embark on an exciting walking journey through this charming French city.
Our first stop will be the exterior of the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, a striking fortress along the riverbank that now serves as the Nantes History Museum.
Following our visit to this 13th-century castle, we will proceed to Tour Lu, a former biscuit factory that has transformed into a cultural hub. Our next site will be the impressive Cathedral, notable for its resemblances to Notre Dame in Paris. Here, you will also come across Maréchal Foch Square, home to a significant column dedicated to Louis XVI, known as the Column of Freedom.
Next, we will stroll along Cours des 50 Otages, the city's renowned thoroughfare that leads us to the Tour de Bretagne skyscraper. Nearby, we will also catch a glimpse of the St Nicholas Basilica and the elegant Place Royale, where a statue of Anne of Brittany graces the center.
Our exploration will then take us through the enchanting Passage Pommeraye, a quaint shopping arcade adorned with unique decor that evokes a sense of nostalgia. As we continue, we will pass through Place Graslin and Cours Cambronne, two picturesque areas certain to captivate your heart.
In conclusion, after a journey lasting roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes, we will wrap up our walking tour by gazing at a few more of Nantes' most iconic landmarks.
