Excursion to Herculaneum and Vesuvius

Our journey begins at 9:30 am in Piazza Garibaldi, where we'll board a bus departing from Naples towards Herculaneum. This ancient Roman city is renowned for its rich cultural history and wealth, often overshadowing even Pompeii.

Once we arrive, you will receive a skip-the-line ticket granting you immediate access to the site, allowing ample time to explore at your own pace. Be sure to visit iconic locations such as the House of the Deer, the Forum, and the beautifully adorned buildings featuring stunning mosaics, including the House of Neptune and Amphitrite.

After approximately three hours immersed in the remarkable ruins of Herculaneum, we will proceed toward Mount Vesuvius, enjoying breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples during our journey.

Upon reaching our destination, we will ascend to a height of 1,000 meters, where you can alight from the bus and embark on a path leading to the crater of Vesuvius. The trail promises picturesque vistas of the Bay of Naples.

You will have the opportunity to observe the volcano's slopes, shaped by solidified lava flows, and delve into the history behind the eruption that engulfed both Herculaneum and Pompeii in 79 AD.

Following our exploration of Vesuvius, we will make our way back to Naples, with an expected arrival back at the starting point by 4:30 pm.
