At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your accommodation and transported to the Hacienda Cacao y Mango for an engaging chocolate experience.

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing cocktail, signaling the start of your tour. The journey begins with a visit to the plantations of cocoa, rice, tropical fruits, vanilla, bananas, and coffee, among the many varieties of 63 edible plants and 18 timber species cultivated on the estate. Throughout this excursion, insights about the fertile local soil will be shared.

After gaining familiarity with the plantations, the focus will shift to chocolate-making. You will get to taste cocoa juice along with a variety of fresh cocoa derivatives, including handmade, roasted, and ground options. The tour will also take you to the conching and tempering workshop for an opportunity to savor chocolates with varying percentages. Here, you’ll also learn how to create chocolate bars flavored with dehydrated fruits weighing 50 grams.

Following your chocolate-making experience, you will have the chance to explore the shop, where a selection of items awaits, including chocolate soaps, cocoa masks, hats, ground coffee, coffee beans, coffee jams, chili jam, Jamaican flowers, leather crafts, and other unique products!

With your appetite stirred, a delightful 3-course lunch featuring local ingredients sourced from organic farms will be served, complemented by seasonal fruit desserts and, of course, a hint of chocolate.

After enjoying your meal, transportation back to your hotel will be arranged, with an estimated return time of six hours from the pickup.

Tour with hotel pickup in Guayaquil: If you choose this option, pick up will occur at your hotel in Guayaquil at 10 am.
Tour from Naranjal: For those opting for this choice, you will need to arrive at the Hacienda Cacao y Mango by 10 or 11 am independently.

Optional vanilla greenhouse visit

If you select this add-on, the tour will proceed to Cerro Chico Pereque to explore one of the largest vanilla plantations in the area. During this segment, you'll visit a vanilla greenhouse and gain an understanding of the entire process from cultivation and harvesting to fermentation and drying.
