Day Excursion to the Tula Archaeological Site

At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your hotel in Pachuca, and we will proceed to the municipality of Tula de Allende, home to the renowned Archaeological Site.

Did you know that this location served as the capital of the Toltec state? Originally named Tollan-Xicocotitlan, it became commonly known as 'Tula' following the Spanish colonization.

During our visit to the Tula Archaeological Site, we will uncover significant elements of the Toltec culture. We'll delve into chronicles that narrate the epic struggle between Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca for dominion over the city.

As we wander through Tula's ancient ruins, we will encounter the Burnt Palace, which suffered destruction from a fire, and the Pyramid of Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli. Upon reaching the pyramid, you will meet its impressive guardians, known as the Atlantes of Tula. These four colossal anthropomorphic figures symbolize the Toltec warriors.

After an enriching 7-hour exploration of history and archaeology, we will return to Pachuca, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
