Your journey begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel at the scheduled time, followed by a minibus ride to the Vesuvius National Park. Are you prepared to commence this thrilling hiking expedition?

During the 1-hour and 30-minute hike, we will be treated to remarkable views from the top of Vesuvius, as we climb 167 meters to reach our destination. The effort will be completely worthwhile, as we will be rewarded with stunning panoramic vistas of Monte Somma.

As we traverse the trail, we’ll be captivated by the vast hardened lava flows that spill down the volcano’s slopes and observe how the local flora has thrived in this seemingly desolate environment. Did you know that vineyards flourish on Vesuvius? We’ll delve into the significance of viticulture in this area along with other intriguing insights.

Additionally, we’ll take a moment to reflect on one of the most pivotal and intriguing events in Vesuvius’ past: the catastrophic eruption in 79 AD that buried both Herculaneum and Pompeii.

Our trek will lead us to 'La Capannuccia', where we can observe the volcanic cone releasing gases. From this vantage point, you’ll also enjoy a clear view of the stunning Gulf of Naples, a sight truly not to be missed.

Gradually, we will make our way back down to the minibus for a return trip, culminating with a visit to a local establishment for a tasting of regional foods. The complete activity will conclude as we drop you off back at your hotel, after approximately 3.5 hours.

• For those selecting the Castellammare di Stabia option, pickup will be arranged from your accommodation at 1 pm.
• If you choose the Pompeii option, we will collect you from your hotel at 1:15 pm.
