Activity Overview

Our adventure begins at Playa Arpoador, a renowned location among surfers in Rio, celebrated for its stunning vistas of the Dois Irmãos and Pedra da Gávea mountains. Here, we will equip you with everything you need to embark on this journey. Are you prepared for the lesson?

Your experience will start with some essential information about the ocean, the dynamics of waves, and the proper handling of the surfboard. Then, it's time to immerse yourself in the water!

You will discover the fundamentals of surfing, which include paddling techniques, understanding the tides, safe water entry, and identifying the best waves to catch. Your skilled instructor will be with you throughout, adjusting the lesson according to your needs, whether you're a beginner or have some experience. Additionally, the sessions are conducted in small groups to ensure personalized guidance.

After one hour filled with excitement riding the waves, we will wrap up this wonderful surfing adventure back at our starting location.

We'll meet at the Playa Arpoador, in Ipanema. Look for the yellow Surf Matrix tent (Escola de Surf - Surf Matrix - Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro - RJ, 22080-050, Brazil). Please arrive about 15 minutes before the class begins so the class can start on time.
