Pedra da Gavea Hike

Embark on an exciting journey as you ascend the stunning Pedra da Gávea, towering at nearly 3,000 ft (840 m) above the vibrant city of Rio. This trek will make you feel like you’ve reached the pinnacle of your adventure!

Activity Details

We will gather at the specified hour at the Point da Meire café in Rio de Janeiro. A short walk will take us into the heart of Tijuca National Park.

Here, we will commence an exhilarating 2.5-hour hike towards the summit of Pedra da Gávea. Our route will be accompanied by encounters with Brazil's diverse wildlife and lush vegetation.

The final segment of our trek includes an exhilarating rock climbing ascent of an 80-foot cliff. No prior climbing experience is needed, as an instructor will be on hand to guide you throughout the climb. Upon reaching the summit, prepare to be captivated by breathtaking views, ideal for memorable photographs.

Afterwards, we will rappel back down from the peak before beginning our descent to the initial meeting point. En route, we will stop by a picturesque waterfall, perfect for a break to relax and enjoy a snack (not included).

The entire adventure wraps up with our return to the meeting location approximately 8 hours later.
