North Beach + Alcatraz Tour
Description
On this guided tour of North Beach, explore one of the must-see areas of San Francisco. Stroll through the most iconic spots of Little Italy and visit Alcatraz!
Tour Details
We’ll meet at the indicated time in Washington Square, next to the Volunteer Firefighters Memorial. From here, we’ll begin a walking tour through the North Beach neighborhood, the heart of Little Italy in San Francisco. Our first stop will be Saints Peter and Paul Church, known as the Italian Cathedral of the West.
Next, visit Liguria Bakery, a true North Beach institution that has been making some of the most delicious focaccia in San Francisco since 1911. We’ll continue the tour along Lombard Street until we reach the Alcatraz viewpoint, where we’ll enjoy excellent views of the island as well as nearby Telegraph Hill.
To complete the tour, we’ll head to another viewpoint to admire the unmistakable Golden Gate Bridge. After taking plenty of photos of this famous landmark, we’ll continue to Pier 39 to see its famous sea lions sunbathing, the true stars of the area.
After 1.5 hours, we’ll end the guided tour at Pier 39.
