Tour Options

Upon booking your bike excursion, you have the choice of a historic center tour of Santa Marta or a Taganga tour, where opportunities for snorkeling and kayaking await. Both tours commence from the designated meeting point at Carrera 4 #19-12 in Santa Marta and include bike rental and a knowledgeable guide.

Below are the details of each tour:

Santa Marta Tour (2 Hours)

We'll gather at the appointed time in the historic district of Santa Marta, featuring notable spots like the Parque de los Novios and the Plaza Bolívar. Our route will lead us past the Santa Marta Basilica Cathedral, recognized for its striking white facade.

As we navigate through the old town, you'll encounter the colonial architecture, including the notable Casa de Madame Augustine. This tour will reveal the story behind this significant figure!

Along the way, we’ll appreciate from afar other well-known locations, such as the Teatro Santa Marta and the Casa de la Aduana (Customs House), which currently houses the Tayrona Gold Museum.

Throughout the journey, we will highlight local culinary delights like cayeye and delve into the vibrant slang and culture of Santa Marta.

We’ll wrap up at Santa Marta Bay before returning to the start point, concluding this enlightening 2-hour tour.

Taganga Tour (8 Hours)

This time, we’ll convene at the same initial location and proceed to the Mercado Público de Santa Marta. Here, you can savor a delicious Santa Marta breakfast, which features an egg arepa accompanied by a beverage.

Subsequently, we’ll bike over the mountains that separate Santa Marta from the picturesque fishermen's village of Taganga. Upon arrival, we'll visit the main beach for an exciting snorkeling session in Taganga Bay.

After this adventurous endeavor, we will kayak back to the coast. Once onshore, it's time for a traditional fish lunch at a local restaurant, rounded off with a conventional coffee from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range.

After a brief rest at the restaurant, we will make our way back by bike to the meeting point in Santa Marta, concluding this comprehensive 8-hour experience.
