Excursion to Pidurangala & Hiriwaduna Village

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Sigiriya at 7 am. We will then proceed to our initial destination: Pidurangala.

Once we arrive, you will have the chance to delve into this significant Buddhist heritage site, where we’ll share intriguing insights about its past. We'll ascend the mountain to reach Pidurangala Rock, a spot offering breathtaking vistas of Sigiriya and the iconic Lion Rock. Make sure to have your cameras ready!

After taking in the magnificent views, we'll make our way back down and visit a nearby restaurant where you can enjoy some time to relax and have lunch.

After a satisfying meal, we’ll head to the village of Hiriwaduna to discover the local way of life and traditions. You'll experience a unique journey through rice paddies in an ox-drawn cart and have the opportunity to cross Hiriwadunna Lake by boat!

The private excursion wraps up with your return to the hotel in Sigiriya, where we expect to arrive by 5 pm.
