Details of the Day Trip

At the scheduled time, gather with your guide at the Shinjuku LOVE Object in Tokyo. Departing from the bustling city, you'll journey into the tranquil Japanese countryside toward the Fifth Station of Mount Fuji, reaching this scenic destination after approximately two hours on the road.

You will have a 30-minute pause at this exceptional viewpoint to take in the breathtaking panoramas of Mount Fuji, following which we'll proceed to a nearby restaurant for a delightful Japanese-style lunch. Your meal will feature udon noodle soup, a seafood salad, lemon chicken, fried egg accompanied by sauce, gobo, konjac, and rice with nori seaweed. Vegetarian and vegan options are available upon request.

Post-lunch, you'll ascend the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car that connects Togendai station on the lake's edge to Owakudani, a fantastic locale to discover the geology of Japan's volcanic landscape. From the summit, you will be rewarded with fantastic views! After soaking in the scenery, a 30-minute pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi awaits you. This offers a unique perspective on the picturesque surroundings!

To conclude the day, we'll take a bus to either Hakone Yumoto or Odawara train stations, marking the end of your trip if you choose to remain in the area. If you hold a Japan Rail Pass, you can utilize it for your return to Tokyo or continue your travels elsewhere.

If you do not have a Japan Rail Pass and wish to return to Tokyo, we will provide you with tickets for the Shinkansen bullet train, ensuring your arrival at the Central Station of the capital within 10 to 11 hours after your adventure begins.

Should the Hakone Ropeway or pirate ship be out of service, we will offer alternative experiences such as the Hakone Komagatake cable car, a boat cruise on Lake Ashi, a cruise on Kawaguchi Lake, a scenic cable car ride near Mount Fuji, Mishima Skywalk, a visit to Odawara Castle, Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, Hakone-en Aquarium, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, or Hakone Shrine.
