Kayak on Três Forquilhas River

Description

We'll convene at Sítio Lima e Silva at the designated time to commence our kayak journey along the Três Forquilhas River. Are you ready to paddle?

Initially, we'll head to the Chapéau River, where we will set up our kayaking gear, ensuring we're fully equipped for this thrilling experience. This starting point is historically significant, being the location of a 1920s steamboat port.

Our route will take us through slender channels until we arrive at the Três Forquilhas River. The river's name is derived from the joining of the Chapéu and Maior rivers, showcasing a unique fork-like structure across the area's landscape. The Três Forquilhas River functions as a principal tributary to the Itapeva Lagoon, one of the largest bodies of water in Rio Grande do Sul.

We will paddle along a stretch of approximately 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) of the river's course, soaking in the unique plant life of the Atlantic Forest. If conditions allow, we will pause briefly to enjoy a refreshing swim during our journey.

After around 3 hours, we will wrap up our tour near the BR 101 road in Três Forquilhas, returning our kayaks and bidding farewell.

Return transfer

If you wish, we can organize a ride back to the starting location after the kayak tour. This transfer service is available at a cost of 7BRL per person and can be coordinated on the activity day.
