Trinidad Walking Tour

We will convene at the specified time in front of the Grand Iberostar Trinidad Hotel, situated in the vibrant core of this charming colonial town. This striking edifice showcases the city’s characteristic architectural style.

Our journey will commence as we traverse the cobbled streets of Trinidad. The first highlight will be the San Francisco de Paula Church, a significant Franciscan site of worship in the central region during colonial times.

Next, we will visit the ruins of the Brunet Theatre and stroll past the Casa de Cultura, a beloved venue among locals for salsa dancing. Following this, we will make our way to the Plaza Mayor, the historical heart of the town. Here, we will marvel at the stunning architecture and explore the Amelia Peláez art gallery.

As we progress, you will have the opportunity to sample the area’s signature drink: la canchara. Our tour will then lead us to the San Francisco de Asís Church, constructed between the 18th and 19th centuries. Its distinctive yellow tower stands as a city landmark.

We will conclude our exploration three hours later at the Plaza de Santa Ana, where you can view the remnants of an ancient prison from Trinidad's colonial past.
