Tour Overview

Are you prepared for an adventure through the jungle and the rich Mayan heritage? At the designated time, we will collect you from your hotel in Tulum and embark on a journey that promises unforgettable memories. Let’s set off!

Following a scenic 45-minute journey, we'll arrive at the lush jungle surrounding the archaeological site of Cobá. Once we get there, choose between cycling along the traditional sacbes or enjoying a leisurely tricycle tour guided by our expert, who will lead you on the same paths. These ancient limestone routes connected various Mayan settlements. As we advance through the site, you will encounter stunning temples entwined with roots, stelae inscribed with unique markings, and the towering Nohoch Mul pyramid, which stands watch over the jungle’s treetops.

After exploring Cobá for 2.5 hours, we proceed to the Punta Laguna nature reserve. Before venturing into the forest, participate in a Mayan ceremony to harmonize with nature. Observe the magnificent centenary ceiba and chicle trees while searching for the playful spider monkeys and the loud howler monkeys, remarkable inhabitants of this tropical sanctuary!

Next, we'll board traditional canoes for an exhilarating ride across the reserve’s lake. Get ready for an adrenaline rush as you prepare to zip-line over the shimmering water—a thrilling and liberating experience!

After exploring the nature reserve for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, we will continue to the town of Nuevo Durango to visit a Maya family’s home. Here, we will savor a delightful traditional meal, featuring chicken mole, rice, beans, tortillas, and a refreshing natural drink, such as hibiscus, cucumber with lemon, or lemonade.

Invigorated by our meal, we will then make our way to the Esmeralda cenote for a 1.5-hour visit. In this idyllic lagoon, the water is so clear that you can see the details of the rocks beneath the surface! Get ready to don your swimwear and enjoy a refreshing dip while admiring the unique rock formations with hanging roots above the water.

As the day draws to a close, we'll head back to Tulum, where you will be dropped off at your hotel about 10 hours after our adventure began.
