Mandinga Boat Trip

Explore the charming village of Mandinga while embarking on a memorable boat excursion across the scenic, mangrove-fringed lagoons that encircle it, on this delightful journey from Veracruz.

Boat Trip Overview

We will convene at 3 pm at Plaza Acuario, from where we will board the tram heading to the picturesque village of Mandinga. Following a 30-minute ride, our first stop will be the pier, where a boat will be ready for our adventure.

For the next 40 minutes, we will navigate from the Laguna Chica to the Laguna Grande. As we glide through a serene mangrove forest, you will have the chance to admire the unique flora and fauna of the region.

During our journey, we will observe an array of fascinating bird species, including herons and cormorants, which inhabit the small islands that rise above the lagoons.

Once the boat ride concludes, you'll enjoy approximately one hour of leisure time to sample the local fish and seafood specialties at nearby restaurants. Be sure to try the renowned Mandinga oysters, some of which are freshly harvested as you wait.

At 6 pm, we will make our way back to the station, where we will reboard the tram for the return trip to Veracruz, concluding our wonderful journey at the initial meeting point.
