As you wander through the rooms of Château de Puyguilhem, immerse yourself in the decorative taste of Pierre Mondot de la Marthonie, a figure closely associated with Louise of Savoy, the mother of King Francis I. In 1515, he became the first president of the Parliament of Paris, marking a significant chapter in French history.

The entrance ticket grants you access to various rooms within the castle, including the kitchens and bedrooms where illustrious figures of Renaissance France once slept. Don't forget to gaze out from the castle's windows, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Villars.

Opening Hours

Château de Puyguilhem welcomes visitors during the following hours:

• October 1 to March 31: Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm
• April 1 to 30: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm
• May 2 to August 31: Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 6:30 pm
• September 1 to 30: Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm

Final admission is 1 hour before closing time.

On December 24 and 31, closing time will be at 4 pm.

Please be aware that these schedules are flexible and subject to change.

Free Admission

The following people can enjoy free admission to Château de Puyguilhem:

• Young people from the European Union aged 18 to 25
• Children under 18, regardless of nationality
• Unemployed individuals, disabled people with one accompanying person, journalists, architecture students, tourism professionals, military, police, and other State security forces.

Additionally, admission is free for everyone on the first Sunday of the month between January 1 and March 31 and between November 1 and December 31. It's also free on the third weekend of September.
