Great Slave Lake Ice Fishing Trip
Description
Immerse yourself in a distinctive adventure during your holiday in Canada with this exciting ice fishing trip on the Great Slave Lake. This excursion provides a wonderful glimpse into the traditional customs of the Northwest Territories!
Ice Fishing Adventure at Great Slave Lake
Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel in Yellowknife at 11 am, as we make our way to the shores of the Great Slave Lake, the second-largest lake in the Northwest Territories. At an impressive depth of 2,000 feet, it stands as the deepest lake across North America, making it an ideal spot to experience ice fishing!
Following a brief introduction on how to operate the fishing gear, relax in cozy tents while you wait for the fish to bite. Don't fret if there is a delay in your catch; remember, patience is essential in the art of ice fishing!
Throughout the trip, guides will share insights about the various fish species inhabiting Great Slave Lake, including salmon, rainbow trout, and pike. To wrap up this delightful experience, we will share a delicious light lunch, sampling some of the fish caught during our outing, complemented by comforting hot beverages to keep us warm.
We will conclude our adventure with a return to your hotel in Yellowknife, arriving around 3 pm.
