Tafí del Valle 1 or 2-Day Trekking Tour

Embark on a breathtaking 1 or 2-day trekking adventure along the stunning La Ciénaga de Tafí del Valle trail, where you'll traverse the magnificent terrains of the Tucumán summits.

1-Day Trekking

Commencing with a pickup at your hotel in Yerba Buena at the scheduled time, we will embark towards the terminus of the Avenida de los Franciscanos in Tafí del Valle. Here, we will begin our journey along the La Ciénaga trail, delving into one of Tucumán's most distinctive landscapes.

The trekking route spans a total of 20 kilometres (12 miles), starting with an uphill segment that lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once we reach this initial peak, a well-earned pause will allow us to take in the breathtaking vista of the ochre-coloured valley below.

Following our rest, we'll continue toward the La Ciénaga cross. At a measured pace, you'll soon find yourself captivated by the viewpoint! Prepare your cameras, as the view encompasses a splendid panorama of El Mollar along with the majestic peaks of Ñuñorco Grande, Pelado, and Muñoz.

The trail then leads us through expansive meadows, adorned with an array of green, yellow, blue, and ochre hues that exemplify nature's artistry. As we navigate through the awe-inspiring landscape of Tafí del Valle coupled with the Calchaquíes and Mala Mala peaks, we will reach the mountain lodge of La Ciénaga.

Here, we will savor a delightful lunch at this quaint refuge, characterized by approximately 10 mud and straw houses enveloped by rolling hills. Rejuvenated, we'll head back to the vehicle for our return journey to Yerba Buena.

We expect to arrive back at your hotel around 12 hours after the initial pickup.

2-Day Trekking

For those craving an extended experience, our 2-day option is perfect. On the first day, we will follow the same itinerary as before, but with the advantage of additional time. Upon reaching the lodge at La Ciénaga, you can spend the afternoon relishing the tranquil community.

As evening approaches, we'll gather to admire the sunset over Tafí del Valle while enjoying a snack. The ochre landscapes will transform into a golden spectacle in the twilight. We will conclude the day with a delightful dinner.

The second day begins with a hearty breakfast to energize us for the return trek. Our day will conclude with a tasty lunch in Tafí del Valle once we complete the hike.

Finally, we will escort you back to Yerba Buena, arriving at your hotel around 2:30 pm.

This activity includes collection from hotels located in the central area of Yerba Buena. If you are situated elsewhere, you will need to make your way to the designated meeting point at the intersection of plaza de la Independencia and avenida 9 de Julio.
