La Quemada + Jerez Experience

Your adventure begins with a pick-up at 9:45 am from your accommodation in Zacatecas as we head south of the city.

The initial destination is the archaeological site of La Quemada, a significant pre-Hispanic location that flourished between 300 and 1200 A.D.. Our visit will commence at the local museum, where you will gain insights into the rich pre-Columbian culture that thrived in the heart of Mexico.

Following our museum visit, we will explore the archaeological grounds, focusing on the votive pyramid of La Quemada. Here, you can expect breathtaking vistas of the Malpaso Valley, showcasing stunning natural landscapes that will leave you in awe.

Once we conclude our exploration of La Quemada, we will make our way to the charming Pueblo Mágico de Jerez. Known as the home of renowned poet Ramón López Velarde, this delightful town offers a guided tour through its historic center.

During the tour, we will encounter notable landmarks, including the Hinojosa Theatre, the sanctuary of La Soledad, and the parish church of the Immaculate Conception. Other highlights include the House-Museum of López Velarde and the picturesque Rafael Páez garden.

After exploring the old town, you'll have an hour to enjoy lunch. We will conclude the day with a return to your hotel in Zacatecas, expected around 4:45 pm.
