Day Trip to Mount Titlis

Kick off your day by departing from Zurich towards Lucerne, a picturesque lakeside city in Switzerland. Your journey begins with a short driving tour where you’ll uncover intriguing legends linked to the city's historical landmarks, narrated by your guide. After this insightful introduction, you'll have around an hour to wander through the charming historic center at leisure or enjoy a meal at a local eatery.

Your adventure continues as you proceed to Engelberg, a serene village and a renowned mountain resort nestled in central Switzerland. Once there, board the Titlis Rotair, an extraordinary cable car that rotates during your ascent. This feature ensures you’ll have breathtaking 360-degree vistas of the stunning Alpine scenery surrounding you.

After approximately 40 minutes in the cable car, you will arrive at the summit of Mount Titlis, towering at over 10,600 feet (3,238 m) above sea level. You will have around two hours to engage in various activities available at the peak.

Once you've relished a day filled with mountain activities, you will take the cable car back to Engelberg and return to Zurich.

Activities at Mount Titlis

Upon reaching the pinnacle of Mount Titlis, you can partake in a variety of activities, all included with your ticket:

• Titlis Cliff Walk: Soar to around 10,000 feet (3,000 m) with Europe's highest suspension bridge. On a clear day, this walk provides breathtaking views over the glacier lying 1,500 feet (460 m) below, the Uri Alps, and even vistas extending into Italy!
• Ice Flyer: Glide over the glaciers aboard this chair lift, offering incredible aerial perspectives of pristine snow and dramatic crevasses.
• Glacier Cave: Step into a stunning realm of ice, traversing a nearly 500-foot-long (150 m) passageway sculpted beneath the glacier’s surface.
• Glacier Park: Dive into the snowy excitement with activities like sledding and snow tubing, making your Mount Titlis visit truly exhilarating.

Additionally, you can explore the TITLIS Horizon viewpoint independently, where entry is priced at 18 CHF for adults and 9 CHF for children.

Please be aware that the availability of these attractions is contingent on weather conditions and ongoing maintenance.

Itinerary Adjustments

From August 17 to December 11, 2026, please note that due to the construction of the new Titlis tower and station, time spent at the summit will be limited to approximately one hour. During this period, we’ll enjoy the available activities, depending on weather conditions. We will then descend to the Trübsee middle station, where food options will also be available.

Furthermore, the itinerary and transport methods may be subject to temporary changes throughout any maintenance or construction activities.
