Tour Overview
Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Amman, setting the stage for this private exploration of a city steeped in history and known as Philadelphia in ancient times.
We will commence our adventure with a drive through Jabal Al-Hussein, leading us to the remarkable Citadel, the pinnacle of the city. From this vantage point, breathtaking views of ancient Amman will unfold before you.
Explore magnificent Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic remnants, including the iconic Roman Amphitheatre, hewn into a hillside in the 2nd century BC—this amphitheatre serves as the primary remnant of Amman's ancient identity. Additionally, you will see the Raghadan Palace, the burial site of the late King Hussein.
Our journey will then progress to the city center, where you'll have the opportunity to wander through the vibrant gold and spice markets, absorbing the genuine atmosphere of Amman. The tour will also take you past significant landmarks, including the Parliament, King Abdullah Blue Mosque, Grand Husseini Mosque, and the Orthodox Church.
Continuing our exploration, we will travel to the historic district of Jabal Al-Webdeih, known for its artistic vibe and galleries. A leisurely stroll down Rainbow Street within the Jabal Amman Quarter will showcase this lively area bursting with color.
To round off your private tour, we will proceed to the modern side of the capital. We will navigate through the upscale neighborhoods of Abdoun and Swefieh, featuring luxurious shopping centres and opulent villas. Should you wish, we can pause at popular shopping destinations along the way, such as Galleria, Taj Mall, or Abdali Boulevard.
After approximately 2 hours, we will conclude the tour with a return to your hotel in Amman. We look forward to seeing you soon!
