White houses, beautiful churches, and spectacular natural balconies make up the historic center of Arcos de la Frontera. In this tour, we will walk through its streets and learn about its history accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide.
Itinerary
At the time you choose, we will meet in the Plaza de España to begin a walking tour of the historic center of Arcos de la Frontera. Are you ready to get to know this city in Cádiz?
First, we will approach the monument to Holy Week, where we will discuss the important role this celebration plays in the municipality. Did you know it has been declared a National Tourist Interest Festival? Not far from this sculpture, you will find the Church of San Juan de Dios, whose origins date back to the 16th century, as well as the Palace of the Count of Águila.
The free tour will then take us to Plaza del Cabildo. Here, we will see some of the most emblematic buildings of Arcos de la Frontera: the Basilica of Santa María Asunción, the Parador, and the castle. Additionally, this square features a spectacular viewpoint, the Balcón de la Peña Nueva. The views of the Guadalete River and the Cádiz valleys will captivate you!
Our next stop will be at the place known as the Magical Circle, a spot connected to Islamic culture that will bring us closer to the most enigmatic and mysterious side of Arcos de la Frontera.
We will glimpse the exterior of the Convent of the Discalced Mercedarians and, after an hour and a half of walking, we will conclude the tour at the Mirador de San Pedro.

In our free tour, reservations for more than 6 people are not accepted. If you are part of a larger group, you should book a private tour of Arcos de la Frontera.
