Private Day Trip to Arroyos y Esteros

Arroyos y Esteros (6 hours)

Your journey begins at 7 am with a pickup from your accommodation, followed by travel to Arroyos y Esteros, an ideal destination for birdwatching and enjoying Paraguay's stunning landscapes. You will be joined by an ornithology expert, guiding you through the diverse ecosystems of the area.

As we traverse the region, keep an eye out for the various birds that call the wetlands and grasslands home. Prepare to encounter wood and maguari storks, jabirus, Brazilian teals, white-faced and black-bellied whistling ducks, along with numerous egrets and herons!

Apart from these waterfowl, we will also identify IBA birds, including the bearded tachuri, odd-tailed tyrant, marsh seedeater, and the dusky-throated seedeater. Following four hours of exploration, we will return you to your hotel in Asunción.

Arroyos y Esteros + San Bernardino (9 hours)

Starting your day at 6 am, we will first head to Arroyos y Esteros for an immersive birdwatching experience. After a morning surrounded by the natural beauty of this locale, we'll proceed to the city of San Bernardino.

Once there, you’ll have an hour to enjoy a meal or refreshment. After regrouping, we will make our way to the region's prime birdwatching location - the Yapacarí National Park awaits! Here, we will admire the expansive lake and learn how to identify the different birds flying overhead.
