Boat Ride Overview

Starting with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Baracoa, we will venture out, leaving the city behind to explore the enchanting Guantánamo region, renowned for its thriving cacao, sugarcane, and coffee industries. You'll witness lush plantations throughout the area.

As we navigate the river, several stops will allow us to delve into the rich culture of this mountainous Cuban landscape. Our first stop will be at the Finca Duaba, a cacao farm. Here, you'll discover the intricacies of cacao farming by touring the facilities. You'll also have the opportunity to sample a delightful chorote, a traditional beverage made from coconut milk and cacao. A real treat!

Next, we will visit Toa Ranch for an exciting 1-hour boat excursion on the Toa River. This river is recognized as the most abundant in Cuba. During our trip, you'll be immersed in the beauty of a UNESCO-designated World Network of Biosphere Reserve.

Following our river adventure, we will return to the ranch for a delicious local lunch, the perfect way to recharge your energy!

Next, we will proceed to Maguana Beach, famous for its pristine white sands and inviting turquoise waters. This idyllic paradise offers 2 hours of leisure for you to immerse yourself in its beauty. You can choose to swim in the warm sea, snorkel, or relish lunch while enjoying breathtaking ocean views. The choice is yours!

Finally, we will make our way back to Baracoa, concluding our enriching experience approximately 8 hours after the initial pickup.
