Why Visit Casa Vicens?

Casa Vicens is one of the first modernist houses designed by Antoní Gaudí. It was commissioned as a summer retreat for Manel Vicens i Montaner, a distinguished stockbroker at the end of the 19th century.

The building captivates with its imaginative decoration. Gaudí's design process drew inspiration from the forms of nature and various historic styles including Moorish and Byzantine art. Additionally, the architecture reflects a strong Andalusian aesthetic, featuring references to iconic sites in Granada, like the Alhambra and the Palacio de Generalife.

This mansion was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2005 and includes multiple Eastern-inspired rooms, showcasing Persian architectural forms.
