Descrizione
While in Barcelona, discover two of Catalonia's remarkable jewels on this excursion to Montserrat and Girona. This journey will take you to the renowned monastery and allow you to wander through the streets of one of Spain's most picturesque cities.
Description
At the designated hour, we'll gather at Carrer de Martí i Franquès, 21, departing from Barcelona to embark on an adventure you'll cherish throughout.
Boarding a comfortable minibus, we will head directly to Montserrat, the most iconic peak in Catalonia, home to one of Spain's most celebrated monasteries. Upon arrival, a guided exploration of the site will unveil its captivating history and fascinating legends. Did you know that the Holy Grail is believed to be hidden here?
During our time at the Montserrat Abbey, we will explore its various chambers, view the Virgin of Montserrat, and uncover intriguing stories related to both the Nazis and Napoleon's forces that occurred within these walls.
Following our visit, we will reconvene on the minibus and set off for Girona. Upon our arrival, a guided tour will introduce you to this enchanting city, shaped by the influences of Romans, Arabs, and Jews, highlighting its diverse history.
We’ll meander through the medieval alleys and explore key sights, including the impressive Santa María Cathedral, the Old Fisheries Bridge created by Gustav Eiffel, and the Jewish Quarter. Additionally, we will enter the Arabic Baths in Girona, a unique site nestled between the Sant Feliu Church, the city walls, and the Cathedral.
After our exploration in Girona, you'll enjoy an hour of free time to savor a meal at one of the local restaurants in the heart of the city. Following this break, we will depart and journey along the stunning Costa Brava, making a stop to appreciate the coastal scenery.
After a fulfilling 11.5 hours together, we will return to Barcelona, concluding our tour at Carles III Gran Via.
