The Barcelona mysteries and legends tour kicks off at the intersection of Fontanella and Estruc streets. Here, you will learn about a notable wizard and astrologer who resided nearby and discover the significance of the street where the "escurçonera" was sold—a stone believed to heal various ailments. Who was this wizard? What was the 'miracle stone' composed of? Join us on this tour to uncover the answers to these enigmas in this eerie part of Barcelona, close to Plaza de Cataluña.
The night tour then progresses into the Gothic quarter, where the tale of the Santa Eulalia underground river awaits, tracing its roots back to Roman times in Barcelona. Subsequently, we will approach the Archdeacon's House, characterized by its peculiar stone tortoise. This symbolic figure inspires yet another captivating legend...
Adjacent to the Archdeacon's House is the Barcelona Cathedral. We will focus on its gargoyles, each possessing an intriguing backstory that we will unveil during the tour. With our minds filled with mysteries and apparitions around every corner, the tour will conclude at the original meeting point.
