Ticket Information
Your entry to Poble Espanyol, translating to "Spanish Town" in Catalan, offers an opportunity to explore an exceptional array of sights from across Spain without leaving the city. Spanning over 520,000 square feet (approximately 40,000 square meters), this open-air museum features a rich tapestry of Spanish architecture displayed through 117 unique edifices.
Additionally, you can engage with several new multimedia installations that provide insight into the country’s diverse culture, cuisine, and traditions. Your admission also includes access to the Fran Daurel Contemporary Art Museum, a private entity showcasing more than three hundred artworks by renowned Spanish creators including Picasso, Miró, Dalí, Chillida, and Barceló.
Poble Espanyol also hosts over 20 artisan workshops, where visitors can observe skilled craftspeople masterfully creating items across various mediums such as jewelry, leather goods, musical instruments, glasswork, engraving, and textiles.
Initially constructed for the 1929 International Exposition, this open-air museum is perched on the Montjuic hilltop in the vibrant heart of Catalonia, not far from the iconic Magic Fountains. A visit here offers stunning vistas of Barcelona, whether it be during morning, afternoon, or evening hours, making for a truly memorable experience.
Discover the history of the site through the exhibition A Photographic Journey, which explores The Construction of Poble Espanyol. This display takes you into the thoughts and creative processes of the builders, showcasing the dedication that transformed vision into reality.
