Excursion to Alberobello

The adventure begins with a meeting at the specified point outside the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari’s city center. From there, we’ll set off in a minibus toward Alberobello, which is about an hour’s drive away. On our way, we'll take a brief stop in Polignano a Mare, renowned for its breathtaking coastal vistas—a perfect opportunity for photos!

Alberobello is often regarded as one of the treasures of Puglia. This town's distinctive stone structures, or 'trullos', have earned their place as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we wander through the charming areas of Rione Aia Piccola and Rione dei Monti, you will learn about the fascinating history of these remarkable buildings.

We will enter one of the inviting trullos to meet a local family residing in these intriguing homes. As they share insights into the construction of these structures, you will also partake in an extra virgin olive oil tasting session, celebrating one of Puglia’s most cherished culinary delights.

After our visit to the trullo, you will enjoy an hour of free time to explore the handicraft stalls in Alberobello. The artisanal products found here have gained fame throughout Puglia and far beyond. Our memorable journey concludes as we return to the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari after a total of 6 hours.
