When you make your reservation, you can select from various routes that last between 6 to 8 hours, depending on your accommodation location. All options come with hotel pickup and drop-off, along with an English-speaking guide. Below are the highlights of each day trip:

Chicamocha National Park Tour

At the arranged time, we will collect you from your hotel and embark on our journey to Chicamocha National Park, a theme park designed to showcase the rich culture and traditions of Santander through replicas of traditional villages.

Upon arrival, you’ll encounter the monument dedicated to Santandereanidad, symbolizing the Comuneros' Revolution, a significant historical event in Santander that influenced the creation of this attraction.

Next, we'll board the park’s premier attraction: the cable car spanning the Chicamocha Canyon, covering over 6 kilometers (3.7 miles). The views from this vantage point are simply stunning!

After disembarking from the cable car, you will have some leisure time to explore the park at your own pace. You can experience activities like zip-lining or a chiva ride. For those eager for adventure, there are also facilities for kayaking and paragliding.

During your visit, don’t forget to try some typical Colombian cuisine to regain your energy. Subsequently, we will regroup to start our journey back to the original meeting point, concluding the day after about 6 to 8 hours.

Availability: This excursion is only offered on Wednesdays and Sundays, as Chicamocha National Park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Barichara & San Gil Tour

If you choose this option, after picking you up from your hotel, we will explore two of Colombia’s most picturesque villages: Barichara and San Gil.

Our first stop will be a guided exploration of San Gil. You’ll stroll through the Plaza Mayor while hearing captivating stories about the area's history and traditions. We will also admire the Santa Cruz Cathedral and wander along cobbled streets showcasing colonial architecture nestled amidst the Santanderian mountains.

Next, we’ll head to Barichara. Many might not know that this village inspired the architecture seen in the Disney movie Encanto. You’ll observe how the colorful stone houses mirror the village home to the Madrigal family.

We will also visit notable historical sites such as the Puente Grande, a bridge that once connected the municipalities of Socorro and Cabrera across the Barichara Ravine. Additionally, we will traverse the Camino Real, and no visit would be complete without admiring the Church of the Immaculate Conception, which stands prominently over the central square.

Once our tour of Barichara concludes, we will return you to your hotel.
