Join us on a day trip from Bilbao that will take you through the scenic landscapes of San Sebastián, Hondarribia, Hendaye, and Getaria. This journey offers an engaging exploration of the Gipuzkoa region and a chance to discover several of the Basque Country's most picturesque towns.

Day Trip Details

We will convene at the iconic Puppy flower sculpture located near the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, from where our adventure will begin.

The first destination will be Hendaye, located just across the border in France. Here, you'll participate in a 45-minute guided tour, characterized by its stunning beachside promenade and elegant architecture that defines the charm of this French Basque town.

Next, we will transfer to the delightful town of Hondarribia, also straddling the French border. You'll experience another guided tour focusing on its attractive waterfront, inviting beaches, and the town's distinctive stylistic flair.

Continuing our journey, we will arrive at the sophisticated city of San Sebastián. Our exploration will begin with a visit to the iconic Palacio de Miramar and its surrounding gardens, offering splendid views of the Bahía de la Concha and the urban landscape. As we make our way to the heart of the city, we will pass by the scenic Puente de María Cristina. You will then have free time to meander through the vibrant old town, featuring notable landmarks such as the Town Hall and the illustrious Basilica de Santa María, while savoring the renowned Basque pintxos that the area is famous for.

Our itinerary concludes in the charming coastal village of Getaria, the birthplace of the esteemed designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. During a brief guided tour, you'll explore its beloved spots, as well as enjoy the stunning views and atmosphere that this fishing town offers. For those interested, visiting the renowned Balenciaga Museum can be included in your itinerary.

After a fulfilling day, we will make our way back to the original meeting point in Bilbao, where this enriching 10.5-hour adventure will come to an end.
