To take the ferry from Buenos Aires to Colonia del Sacramento, you'll need to head to number 155, Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane Avenue, where you'll find directions for boarding the boat to Uruguay.
The ferry trip to Colonia del Sacramento takes an hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive, you will transfer to the bus that will take you to Punta del Este, which will get you there in approximately 4.5 hours, arriving at the terminal located on Boulevard Artigas y La Angostura. Get ready to enjoy the sun, the beach, and all the attractions in Punta del Este!

When booking, you can select the round-trip transfer option. The return ticket is valid for use up to 90 days after the departure date.
Transport Schedule
The following are the departure and return schedules:
- Departure: The ferry to Colonia del Sacramento from Buenos Aires departs daily at 8:30 am, with an additional departure on Fridays at 6:30 pm. Upon arrival in Colonia, staff will be available to direct you to the bus heading to Punta del Este.
- Return: The bus from Punta del Este to Colonia del Sacramento departs at 2:15 pm. Once at the Colonia terminal, staff will guide you to the ferry back to Buenos Aires.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
You'll start your journey by boarding the ferry in Buenos Aires. This ferry ride lasts about 75 minutes, followed by a bus transfer that takes around 4.5 hours to reach Punta del Este. You will have staff assistance for smooth transitions at both ferry and bus terminals.

After making your reservation, you'll receive your boarding passes by email. Two hours before departure time, please come to the following address in Buenos Aires: Avenida Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane, 155.
Colonia Express will not be held responsible if you fail to bring the necessary travel documents, such as your passport, ID, or visa for entry into the country if you require one. The passenger will be responsible for this.
The return ticket can be used up to 90 days after the departure date.
Important Info
You must be at the departure port at least an hour and a half before the boat is scheduled to leave.
It's also mandatory to carry a valid passport or any other necessary documentation (depending on your nationality) and to have a valid travel insurance covering medical expenses to enter Uruguay and Argentina, as well as a reservation number.
In case you do not have travel insurance, the Immigration Department may prevent you from entering the country.
For the transfer, you can bring a backpack and a suitcase between 23 and 30 kg (50 to 66 lbs) per person.
