Attend an authentic tango performance in the distinctive late art nouveau ambiance of Galería Güemes, recognized as the first reinforced concrete building in the city and often referred to as its first skyscraper. This venue is esteemed for being one of the premier places to appreciate art in Buenos Aires.

Galería Güemes features two theaters: the Teatro Astor Piazzolla and the Teatro Carlos Gardel. You have the option to enjoy performances in either venue, sharing the same ticketing process and pricing:

Teatro Astor Piazzolla

This theater retains all its original charm from 1915, showcasing a classical operatic style characteristic of the Belle Époque.

With an atmosphere filled with allure, warmth, and energy, the Astor Piazzolla Theatre Sextet, featuring a remarkable ballet and outstanding vocalists, presents a one-of-a-kind show each night highlighting classic pieces by celebrated Argentine composers.

Performance Details: includes 1 piano, 2 violins, 2 bandoneons, 1 double bass, 5 couples dancing, each with 5 costume changes, and 2 vocalists.

Tango Carlos Gardel

This venue pays tribute to Gardel, featuring a talented ensemble of five dance couples, three of whom are world champions in Stage Tango.

The Virginia di Salvo sextet comprises the leading musicians in the tango world, joined by the vibrant voices of Ache Rey and Ximena Jimenez.

Performance Details: consists of 1 piano, 2 violins, 2 bandoneons, and 1 double bass, alongside 6 dance couples, each with 6 costume changes, plus 2 singers.

Pickup arrangements can be made from hotels located in the Palermo area or downtown Buenos Aires:

• Hotels in downtown: pickups are scheduled from 7 pm to 7:45 pm.
• Hotels in Palermo: pickups are arranged between 6:45 pm and 7:15 pm.
