Las Caobas River Trekking

Discover a pristine paradise in Jamao al Norte through our River Trekking experience at Las Caobas. This thrilling activity allows you to swim, walk, and wade through verdant landscapes, immersing you in nature's beauty.

Trekking Overview

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in the town of El Cibao, chosen during your booking. Afterward, we will make our way to Las Caobas, where you can expect to traverse trails abundant with clear water pools, gorges, and stunning waterfalls. Once we arrive, we'll equip ourselves and embark on this adrenaline-packed journey.

As we proceed, you'll navigate through areas rich in lush foliage and will have the opportunity to wade through waist-deep water. If you're feeling adventurous, feel free to leap into the pools from the surrounding rocks.

At 10:30 am, a brief intermission will allow us to enjoy a snack of Dominican cheese and rodao (a local biscuit). Following this, we will continue our river trek through a forest teeming with guama beans and native ceiba and mahogany trees, which thrive in the tropical climate of the Dominican Republic.

At noon, we will pause for a traditional lunch featuring beans, rice, chicken, salad, and beverages. After lunch, there will be an opportunity to learn about local craftsmanship in a nearby village.

The return journey to our starting point will wrap up the day, concluding our adventure between 5 to 9 hours later.
