Our adventure begins at the central El-Tahrir Plaza, specifically in front of La Poire Café, where we will embark on a flavorful exploration of Egypt's vibrant cuisine. Prepare yourself to experience the true essence of Cairo!

After a brief overview of traditional Egyptian culinary practices, we will set off on our journey through downtown Cairo, seeking out local favorites. Our first destination will serve a refreshing juice, perfect to quench your thirst as we make our way toward the historic Champollion Palace, which dates back to the 14th century.

Next, we’ll stop at a local street cart, where you’ll indulge in a classic Egyptian staple known as Koshari. This satisfying dish is a delicious mix of rice, lentils, macaroni, chickpeas, and rich tomato sauce, offering a robust flavor profile. Following this, we will visit another cart where a variety of sandwiches await your selection, each more tempting than the last.

Our culinary adventure continues at a vibrant street food stall, where you will witness a beloved dish reinterpreted through local techniques. Brace yourself for an extraordinary taste experience that showcases the uniqueness of regional cooking!

We will then treat our taste buds to traditional falafel, known in Egypt as ta’meya. You will learn about its preparation, offering insights into this artful culinary skill. To conclude the tour, we will indulge in feteer meshaltet, a delightful Egyptian dessert featuring flaky puff pastry.
