Ek Balam & Uayama Day Trip
Descrizione
Embark on an engaging exploration into the Yucatan Peninsula through our Ek Balam tour. This experience invites you to delve into the traditions of a local indigenous community, alongside visiting Uayama and the stunning Chichikan cenote.
Day Trip Overview
Your exciting adventure commences from your Cancun hotel with a picturesque bus journey heading west into the enchanting regions of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Your first stop will be the remarkable Ek Balam archaeological site, which dates back to 300 B.C. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore the ancient acropolis, gaze at the notable ball court, and uncover the intriguing stories encapsulated in its twin pyramids.
Following this, prepare to be amazed by the Chichikan cenote. Dive into the mesmerizing underground cavern and refresh yourself in its crystal-clear waters while taking in the natural surroundings.
Experience the richness of local traditions by meeting members of a Maya tribe and witnessing an enthralling display of their cultural heritage—a profound cultural engagement.
Before we proceed with our journey, enjoy a delectable buffet lunch. Our tour will then lead us to the Santo Domingo temple situated in the charming town of Uayma. An interesting detail: this temple was constructed in the 17th century using stones sourced from various ancient Maya ruins.
After a full day packed with activities over approximately 12 hours, we will return you safely to your Cancun hotel, leaving you with lasting memories and a richer understanding of the Yucatan's vibrant history and scenery.
