Hiking Overview

Are you ready to uncover one of Neuquén's hidden gems? We'll begin by picking you up directly from your accommodation and then making our way southwest of the Caviahue Caldera. In the renowned Cajón de Hualcupén, you will encounter the breathtaking Riscos Bayos, a sight sure to leave you in awe!

Following a scenic 30-minute drive, we’ll arrive at the private entrance to Riscos Bayos. Once there, hiking poles will be provided as we set out on our excursion through these remarkable geological formations sculpted by nature over countless years. The impressive ignimbrites have been shaped by historic volcanic activity. The trail will take us past various majestic columns, interesting pillars, and striking spires.

As we traverse several kilometers, we’ll take time to appreciate the expansive views surrounding the Riscos Bayos formations, with planned stops at key locations for photography and relaxation. This area is also recognized as a popular destination for meditation, valued as an exceptional setting for introspection and peace.

Our expedition will culminate at one of the park's most captivating locations. While we delve into discussions about the unique features of the landscape and its history, we’ll also take a moment to savor a delicious hot beverage. The cherry on top will be the chance to view a stunning sunset over Riscos Bayos.

Finally, we will conclude our experience by returning to your hotel, wrapping up a total of 4 hours filled with exploration and discovery.
