Can you imagine a better way to spend a day than whale shark watching, snorkelling in turquoise seas, relaxing by the beautiful Tumalog Waterfalls and exploring the historic centre of Oslob? Experience the best of Cebu on this incredible excursion!

Oslob Whale Shark Watching

First thing in the morning on the day of your tour, you'll be picked up from Cebu and taken in the direction of Oslob, where you'll arrive around 6 am. Here, you'll enjoy an introduction to the world of whale sharks and to the whale shark-watching activity you're about to embark on.

Then, at around 6:30 am, you'll climb into small boats to begin your unique sealife spotting adventure. As well as whale sharks, there are many different species of marine wildlife that spend their mornings in the waters around Oslob. We'll spend around half an hour meeting these incredible animals and taking photos of them.

After whale shark watching, you'll be taken to Tumalog Waterfall, a natural pool of crystal-clear water surrounded by palm trees and ferns. There will be time here to relax and enjoy the surrounding natural scenery.

Around 9 am, you'll take a well-earned break to renew your energy with a delicious meal of traditional Cebuano dishes at a local restaurant (included).

Full of tasty food, you'll continue to the area of Cebu island with the most history: Oslob Patrimonial Park. Explore the ruins of the Cuartel, the barracks built by Spanish police in 1860, and the watchtower, or Baluarte, which was used in the 18th century.

You'll also visit Boljoon Church, built in the 18th century, and visit the Carcar Shoe Expo, a market full of locally handmade shoes.

Your day trip will come to an end around 1 pm, when you'll be dropped back off at your hotel.

Meeting Points

This tour includes pickup from hotels in Mactan Resort (meeting time 3 am) or in central Cebu (meeting time 3:30 am). If you're staying in another area, you will need to pay a supplement of 400PHP per person in cash on the day of the tour.

How Does It Work?

On the day of your tour, after pickup from your hotel, you will start your journey to Oslob. The tour begins with an orientation about whale sharks, followed by the whale shark watching activity. You'll spend approximately half an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After this, a visit to Tumalog Waterfalls provides a refreshing break before heading to a local restaurant for a traditional meal. The cultural exploration of Oslob Patrimonial Park, including historical sites and local markets, rounds out your experience.
