Details of the Hike

Leave the city's hustle behind and step into Morocco's rich natural surroundings, where you can relax with a swim in the renowned Akchour Waterfalls. On the day of your journey, we will collect you from your hotel for a short taxi ride. After approximately 35 minutes, we will arrive in Akchour, a quaint village tucked away in the Rif Mountains.

Upon arrival at this designated natural sanctuary, we will embark on a hiking trail that leads us through Talassemtane. This two-hour trek promises to be rewarding, as we will be welcomed by the breathtaking sights of the magnificent Akchour Waterfalls at the conclusion of our journey.

Let’s pause for a moment – can you hear it? The captivating sound of water cascading into the natural pools below creates a mesmerizing atmosphere. Next, we will approach the waterfall for a refreshing dip in its cool waters, followed by a enjoyable lunch overlooking the falls. Be sure to bring along your picnic, or if you like, you can savor a tajine from one of the local food vendors!

After our meal, we will set off on a different hiking path leading to another entry point of the Talassemtane National Park. From there, we will take a taxi back towards Chefchaouen. Your unforgettable journey will conclude after about 7 hours of exploration and adventure.

This experience includes pickup from locations within the central area of Chefchaouen. If your accommodation is outside this region, we will meet you at the indicated time at Hotel Madrid.

Possible Changes to Itinerary

Throughout certain seasons, there may be times when the waterfalls exhibit less water flow. In such cases, we will offer two alternatives: you may still opt to visit the waterfalls and enjoy the hiking experience, or choose a combined trip that takes you to both the smaller waterfalls and the stunning God's Bridge. The decision will be yours, ensuring an enjoyable experience no matter the water flow conditions.
