Tour Details
The starting point for this adventure is at the Liberation Monument, the urban epicenter and a symbol of the city's rebirth following World War II. Surrounded by skyscrapers gradually illuminating, you will grasp the essence of why Chongqing is referred to as the vertical city. Let's begin!
The first stop is at Bayi Street, where the fragrances of hot pot, spices, and savory dumplings mix with the local nightlife. As we stroll about, let yourself be captivated by the vibrant energy that characterizes the evening in this bustling area. A short walk later, we will reach Hongyadong, the renowned architectural site built on wooden stilts, drawing inspiration from the ancient stilt houses of the Ba-yu period. Under the soft golden lights, this structure appears to float gracefully above the Yangtze River.
Next, we will cross the Qiansimen Bridge to arrive at Nanbin Road. Be ready with your cameras, as you will witness the quintessential view of Chongqing! The illuminated Hongyadong skyline, the emerging financial district, and the twilight's blue reflection on the water create a stunning panorama.
To conclude our tour, we’ll either take a taxi or use the subway to reach a quiet viewpoint along the riverbank or return to the Liberation Monument at Jiefangbei, contingent upon the crowds and the weather conditions.
This tour will last approximately 3.5 hours.
