Embark on an enriching day tour to the historical sites of Liberia and the vibrant Santa Rosa National Park, where you will traverse through lush forests teeming with diverse wildlife and learn about Costa Rica's captivating heritage.

Day Excursion to Liberia & Santa Rosa National Park

Your journey begins between 7:30 and 8:30 am with a convenient pickup from your hotel in the Guanacaste region. Once on board our comfortable vehicle, we will set off towards the scenic landscapes of Santa Rosa National Park and Liberia, the provincial capital.

As we travel for approximately an hour and a half to our initial stop, you will be treated to stunning vistas and engaging insights into the historical context of Costa Rica.

Welcome to the magnificent Santa Rosa National Park! Here, we will explore the Casona de Santa Rosa, a significant historical site renowned for its role in the Battle of Santa Rosa.

Our adventure will also take us deep into the Costa Rican rainforest, offering the chance to observe an array of wildlife, including jaguars, pumas, and deer. With a bit of luck, we might also spot colorful magpies and toucans in their natural habitat.

Following our exploration, we will return to the minibus for a short drive to Liberia, located just an hour from Santa Rosa. En route, we will make a stop at a local restaurant to savor casado, a traditional Costa Rican meal featuring rice, beans, fried sweet plantains, and your choice of meat or fish.

Once in Liberia, enjoy a guided tour that will last around an hour, showcasing the city's prominent monuments and cultural highlights.

After an exciting 6-hour journey through this remarkable region of Costa Rica, we will return you to your hotel in Guanacaste.
