West Cork Excursion

Our adventure begins in the morning at St Patrick's Quay, located in front of the Mary Elmes bridge, where we will gather at 9 am. From there, we will depart Cork city and set out into the serene countryside, aiming to uncover some of the most breathtaking sceneries in Ireland. Remember to bring your camera!

We will head towards the western portion of County Cork, a region that remains one of the last strongholds of ancient Ireland. This area features a wealth of traditional towns, untouched beaches, steep sea cliffs, and rolling green hills, all contributing to stunning vistas. Our first stop will be at the rugged cliffs of Mizen Head, where we will take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking ocean panoramas.

As we continue our journey, we will meander through the charming villages, including Clonakilty, where you can absorb their enchanting essence. We will then arrive at Gougane Barra Forest Park, where there will be a chance to walk along the lush trails and visit the renowned Church of St. Finbarr.

The West Cork excursion will then lead us to the town of Bantry. Here, we'll delve into its historic centre, learning about its rich past while admiring the vibrant architecture. Following this, you'll have an hour to enjoy some lunch in Bantry.

After a fulfilling day exploring West Cork, we will board the bus for our return journey to the starting point in Cork, where we expect to arrive around 6 pm.
