Your journey begins with a pick-up from your Cuenca hotel at the arranged time, after which we will set off toward the Ingapirca archaeological site.

Our first stop will be at the Gothic Basilica of the Virgen del Rocío, positioned to the south of Cuenca. This magnificent edifice boasts 49 striking granite columns and 36 grand arches. While there, make sure to learn about the remarkable miracle that occurred on the hill of Zhalao.

Upon reaching the Ingapirca complex, we will commence a guided exploration of this ancient pre-Columbian city. As we traverse the area, you'll discover the lintels, tombs, the Face of the Inca, the Vaguada, La Condamine, and many other significant structures, gaining insights into the painstaking artistry of their finely crafted stones.

A highlight of our visit will be the Temple of the Sun, renowned as one of Ecuador's major indigenous astronomical sites. Here, we will delve into the historical significance of this sanctuary and discuss the human and animal sacrifices that were once ritualistically performed here.

If you start to feel hungry, do not worry! After our extensive tour of Ingapirca, we will take you to a local restaurant to savor a delightful meal. Our day will culminate with the return to Cuenca, where you can expect to arrive back at your hotel following an enriching eight-hour excursion.
