Ausangate Glaciers Quad Tour

Embark on a remarkable journey with this quad expedition of Nevado Ausangate, where you will traverse breathtaking glaciers and partake in a hike at an elevation of 19,685 ft (6000 m).

Tour Overview

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Cusco at the agreed upon time. Are you ready to set off?

We will journey south for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes towards Cusipata, where we will pause for a revitalizing breakfast. Once refreshed, we will proceed to the base location for the quads, where a 15-minute briefing on safe and effective quad operation will be provided.

After the safety briefing, we will embark on our quad tour, which will last for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Throughout this adventure, you will be captivated by the stunning vistas of the vibrantly colored mountains in the Vilcanota range.

Following the quad ride, we will disembark for a moderate-level hike lasting between 40 minutes to 1 hour, leading us to the summit of Nevado Ausangate. Did you know this is the fifth-highest peak in Peru? Its height reaches an impressive 20,948 ft (6385 m)!

At the peak, you can take a moment to recuperate while being surrounded by the cool Andean breeze, marveling at the breathtaking glaciers that stand like ancient giants before you.

We will then make our way back along the same quad route. Upon returning to Cusipata, a delightful buffet lunch featuring traditional Andean dishes will be served. A perfect conclusion to your adventure!

Finally, our journey will take us back to Cusco, culminating your experience with a drop-off at Plaza Regocijo, where we will part ways after 12 hours of exploration.

Participant Eligibility

Please remember that only those aged 18 and older with a valid, current driving license are permitted to operate the quads. Participants under 18 may join the activity but must do so as companions.
